This document is my favorite one yet, with a much longer
backstory and a TON of images, but it’s not fully completed.
It’s almost there, I will upload its ultimate version soon.

The machines of Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace (The Difference Engine and the Analytical Engine), Thermodynamics and Kinetics, Akira Kurosawa’s movies (especially Yojimbo and Sanjuro with Toshirô Mifune), Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood (especially his remakes of Yojimbo and Sanjuro: A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More), Pi (by Darren Aronofsky), Mahatma Gandhi and civil disobedience, a rich history of golden age science fiction writers (Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, etc.) tackling how to define a person and what rights AI or robots should have, Ex Machina (by Alex Garland), Hero (by Zhang Yimou), The Last Samurai (by Edward Zwick), The Pillow Book (by Peter Greenaway), Hat Sanatı (traditional Turkish calligraphy), the poem “Sizin Hiç Babanız Öldü mü?” (by Cemal Süreya), Bushido, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (by Jim Jarmush), Japanese shinto and buddhism, ShuHaRi (Japanese system of apprentice-journeyman-master teaching method in craftsmanship and martial arts), Keith Baker’s design discussions
